Phnom Penh is known as Krong Chaktomuk or Krong Chaktomuk Serimongkul which is the capital of Cambodia. Phnom Penh is located in the zone of the tropical wet and dry climate. The weather in this country is hot all year round. The average temperature range from 22 to 35 Celsius degree. The southwestern inland monsoon breezes that bring moisture-laden winds from the Gulf of Thailand and the Indian Ocean from May to October while the northeast monsoon ushers bring the dry breezes to the country in the dry season which lasts from November to March. In general, Phnom Penh has two distinct seasons.

Phnom Penh is also known for its influence on New Khmer Architecture. It is very famous for Ka Tieu Phnom Penh which is a delicious rice noodle soup that makes the reputation of the cuisine of the city. Music and the arts are making a revival in Cambodia. The city is host to a number of music events and is the largest entertaining center of the country.
